Writer's Block: Ticket to ride

It would be so much easier if my trip to Switzerland this summer were all-expenses paid instead of my fighting with websites to book accommodation and whatnot (of course the hostels were unable to fullfill my needs, so hotels on the not quite so astronomically expensive end of expensive are sought, as expected… but whatever). And in a perfect world I'd like my handsome JD with me….

But really in a couple of years (when the latest earthquake issues are shored up) I would love to travel to Japan all expenses paid with JD. That would be a great dream vacation.

On Friday I leave for Jamaica for Kiwanis/CKI sevice projects of a sort. I still don't have a clue what we're doing as for specifics, but I look forward to it just the same.

I really wish I could finish the paper I'm writing on more effectively but whatever, I'll get there soon enough.

As the class part of the school year rolls to a close

I'm as busy as ever, but finding it difficult to maintain a proper balance between all that is desired of me. In otherwords, I've got far too much goin' on, but I'm enjoying myself and trying to strike a balance between all that grabs my attention.

This past weekend I was in Indianapolis for my 5th GATC (Governors and Administrators Training Conference) along with my awesome CKI governor. It was perhaps my second favorite GATC for its use value. Sure others might have been more fun, but this one will likely be more useful both to me and for the new governor I am working with. My role as CKI administrator is a lot of my time (and a lot of stress, this week being no exception) but I thoroughly enjoy it.

In just over a week I will be heading to Jamaica for my very first time. This trip is alongside members of the University of Waterloo CKI club in the Eastern Canada district of CKI. My trip will leave me in the Chicago airport overnight (which is less than ideal). If any of you in Chicago want to see me I guess I'll be in your city for 8+ hours — at least in the airport.

I have a tonne of things to do before I leave including my last assignment for the term, my taxes, visiting the doctor to follow up on my wrist issues, several fun events, and yes, catching up on email and whatnot that I haven't been doing, and some RA work.

I don't know what I'll be doing for the summer/school year for income, partially because I don't want to be working as much such as to finish up my degree on timeish. I look forward to getting more thesis-ish work done.

Writer's Block: A cinematic extravaganza

Hmmm… I would generally choose to be played by either Anna Paquin or someone more asian/white seeming or otherwise more physically similar to myself. As for romantic interest, I think Topher Grace would be my first choice.

Interestingly I've been responding to a lot more of these than I have been making more personal postings as of late, which isn't to say that I haven't been busily doing tonnes of things. This weekend I head to Indianapolis yet again so that should be interesting. *shrugs* One of these years I'll be slightly less busy with school and perhaps find a balance that I prefer? We'll see.

Writer's Block: You're a shining star

Hmmm… uhm for whatever reason the first talk show I can think of is Jonovision, which obviously is no longer on the air. A better option would be something that is still airing… like uh… wait I don't really watch talk shows… hmmm… tough question.

I would want to talk about some awesome project that I was involved with. Whatever it is, I doubt that I've done it yet, so we'll see what'll happen.

I guess the talk show would probably not exist yet as well.
